Job Title: Independent Living Project Case Manager
Reports To: Beth Wyatt-Peters, IL Coordinator

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The IL Case Manager is responsible for all clients assigned to their caseload thru the Cambria County Children and Youth Agency. This position requires a large amount of traveling in order to meet the needs of its clients. The work hours and days vary and are according to the needs of each individual child. Some of the duties include transporting clients, conducting client testing and assessments, preparing resident reports and service plans, testifying in court, and monitoring clients’ progress in the program. The IL Case Manager must work cooperatively and communicate effectively with the Executive Director, Cambria County Children, and Youth personnel, other supervisory personnel, and all other staff to ensure consistency in programming and meeting program goals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily be able to perform each duty and responsibility. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalency. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field is preferred, but not required.
- At least 6 months of direct childcare experience with a degree. At least 12 months of direct childcare experience without a degree.
- Computer experience in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet, and email, or able to be trained.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated conflict-resolution skills.
- Possess the ability to work independently and perform tasks with little to no supervision.
- Possess reliable transportation.
- Possess the ability to travel within the circumference of the grant.
- MUST HAVE A DESIRE TO AND COMPASSION FOR WORKING WITH ADOLESCENT YOUTH.
